About Vickie
Vickie Thomas will tell you her first love is being a wife, mother, and a Nana. She and her husband Stephen, a.k.a., Catfish, enjoy spending time creating memories with their grandchildren. Oh, and their four grown children and spouses. Their family fishing cabin boasts shelves of hand-painted rocks and completed 1,000-piece puzzles, not to mention fish pictures and fish stories in abundance!
Vickie has been writing verse since fourth grade when she noticed a piece of lint on the floor, appropriately naming her first poem “Fuzz.” Creative Writing in High School was her favorite subject, re-writing the tale of Cinderella as a Shakespearean story. Her poems, cards and songs are written to make people smile, to memorialize an occasion, or just to celebrate!
An avid collector of cups, Vickie loves having coffee or tea either from her “fine bone china” or “made-in-China” ceramic ware with humorous or inspirational sayings. She and Stephen make their home in College Station, Texas. Stop by for a cup of coffee or tea if you’re in town!
